Refund policy

What you get back, when, and why.

Refunds depend on where your application is in the pipeline. Here's the exact rule for every situation, with no fine print.

  • Before we submit to NTNC

    Full refund minus Stripe processing fees (~$1.50)

    If we haven't yet pressed 'submit' on your application, the permit cost hasn't been spent and we can return everything except what Stripe charged us to take and refund the payment.

  • After we submit, before NTNC processes

    Service fee refunded only

    Once submitted, the NPR 3,087 permit cost has been charged to our card and is non-refundable from NTNC. We'll refund our $20 service fee.

  • After the permit is issued

    No refund possible

    NTNC permits are explicitly non-refundable and non-transferable once issued. This is an NTNC policy printed on the permit itself, not ours.

  • Application rejected — your data was wrong

    Service fee retained, free resubmission

    If NTNC rejects because of incorrect data you provided (passport number, dates, photo), we keep the service fee and you can resubmit with corrected info at no extra cost.

  • Application rejected — our error

    Full refund. We eat the cost.

    If we made the mistake (wrong field mapping, processing error on our end), we refund everything you paid us and absorb the NPR loss ourselves.

How to request a refund

Email hello@trekpermitsnepal.com with your order ID. We'll process eligible refunds within 24 hours; the money typically lands back on your card within 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Date changes before submission are free — just email us. Once a permit is issued, dates cannot be changed; you'd need a fresh application.
