Required for any trek into the Manaslu Conservation Area, which covers the Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley. Important: most routes inside MCAP are also restricted areas that require a separate RAP and a licensed guide. We sell only the conservation permit — read the asterisks below before buying.
Read this before you buy
Both Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley are designated restricted areas. By Nepali law you cannot enter without a RAP, and the RAP requires a licensed trekking agency to apply on your behalf, plus a licensed guide accompanying you, plus a minimum group size of 2. We sell only the MCAP — you'll still need to arrange the RAP and guide separately. If you're a true solo independent trekker, this region isn't open to you legally.

FAQ
Questions about MCAP.
Why can't I just buy MCAP and trek Manaslu solo?
Because the Manaslu Conservation Area overlaps almost entirely with a restricted zone, which Nepali law gates behind a RAP + agency + guide + minimum group of 2. The MCAP alone won't get you past the restricted-zone checkpost at Jagat.
Why do you sell MCAP at all if it's incomplete on its own?
Trekkers who are going through a licensed agency for the RAP often want to buy their MCAP separately to keep costs transparent. We make the conservation permit easy and let the agency handle the RAP. We don't sell agency packages.
Is the cost the same as ACAP?
Yes — NPR 3,000 for foreigners, NPR 1,000 for SAARC nationals, plus NTNC gateway and our service fee.
